The Greenbank Lions are selling 55 pound bags of fall fertilizer 7-27-27 for $50 with free delivery to your home in late September. Send an order to larrydoble@hotmail.com with your name and address while quantities last. All profits support local projects.

There is a benefit dance and pub night for the Port Perry Hospital Foundation at the Greenbank Hall on September 13th. Tickets are $15 each. Email rbeck6@gmail.com for tickets.

On September 28th, there is a free historical tour of the Greenbank Hall (formerly St. Agnes Church, built in 1868 and a presentation of the “Craggs of Greenbank” by Barbara Dickson starting a 1 p.m.


The Sunderland Museum will be open on September 10th at the Sunderland Fair for tours, information on Family History, and Century homes. They will also be taking orders of a recently printed 70 page booklet called The Brock Company, a history of the rebels, loyalists, and militia in the 1837 rebellion.

On September 20th and October 4th, there will be a free museum tour and a short walking tour of Sunderland to describe five historic buildings from 10 a.m. to noon.

The annual meeting of the three Brock Historical Societies is at the Sunderland Town Hall on October 18th, at 1 p.m., and features a presentation on the Brock Families in the Rebellion of 1837.
