Fantastic new offerings from KAWARTHA ARTS NETWORK!

LAURIE JOHNSON,

Kawartha Arts Network

“Our new option for a KAN gift certificate is an exciting chance to share one or more opportunities for creativity,” stated Laurie Johnson, Advertising Lead for KAN. “The purchase of a gift certificate can be used for participation in classes from knowledgeable artist members of the Kawartha Arts Network, a piece of artwork from an individual artist, or an artist membership in the co-op. Note the cost of a membership is $45 and requires participating in a committee to assist with the running of our not-for-profit arts organization.”

Starting in the spring of 2023, there will be a variety of workshops and classes in diverse media for all levels of experience and interest. We will offer classes in beginner acrylic painting, pen and ink, lino print on fabric and paper, classes with the option of using oils or acrylics, screen printing, digital and cell phone photography, the use of photo transfers in paintings, and two children’s classes. Life Drawing continues to be a popular choice running from April to June. There will also be a Monday night drawing series for 14 weeks with three sections: basic drawing skills, figurative drawing and visual storytelling. Students may register for the final sections individually or together.

Further details on all courses, costs, timing, instructor, material information and specific locations can be found on the KAN website, at: https://kawarthaarts.ca.

As well as course information, be sure to check out the Kawartha Arts Network website for details on upcoming exhibitions of the group, member profiles and membership details.
