What a beautiful first week of June with a bit of rain on Friday evening to help the plants from gaging. It was hard to believe our lawn started to look dry even after all the Spring rains.

I must apologize, the next blue moon is not December 2026 but December 31st, 2028.

A very beautiful and delicious bridal luncheon in honour of Brooklyn Kerry’s September marriage was held at Aunt Donna Kerry Ireland’s home, on Washburn Island, with Brooklyn’s sister Hayden helping to make this such a special occasion. Brooklyn received many useful gifts and extended thanks to all for each. Guests who attended enjoyed a wonderful time of celebration to honour Brooklyn.

There is no church at Epsom this coming Sunday. Be back June 21st for worship and communion.

Kendall and Hillman Cemetery Decoration is on Sunday, June 14th. Join us in celebrating the lives of friends and family who have passed by, thoughtfully decorating their resting places.

Decoration Day is an annual event on the second Sunday in June.

We are pleased to invite you to our biennial Decoration Service, at 2 p.m., at Utica United Church - a special time of community, music and reflection. This year's service will be officiated by Rev. David Clinker and musical accompaniment provided by Linda Hunter.

We would like to thank Tim Byers for providing a portable toilet at the Hillman Cemetery for Decoration Day, as there are no bathroom facilities at the church.

As the Utica Church is not accessible, we will set up an outdoor area with a speaker for those who want to attend the service but are unable to negotiate the entry stairs. Hopefully it works!

Thank you to our donors who have sent their kind support for the cemeteries. Tax-deductible donations allow for the continued regular care of the cemetery properties.

We thank the Wilbur boys for their efforts in this area.

Please reach out if you have any questions about our cemeteries. We are here to help.
