I hope you didn’t miss the full moon (flower) these last few evenings, but if you did, May 31st, a blue moon will be back to shine even brighter. With this full moon, we had to endure minus temperatures and even snowflakes so large on Saturday morning it took us back a few months. There's always a blessing with these cooler temperatures as we watch the spring flowers last so much longer. The daffodils with their bright yellow colours are an array of lasting beauty because of the cooler weather. The Otter Greenhouse was a buzz of activity this weekend, with an overflow of cars parking on the road. Finally reaping some results from their long months of work.

The community sent congratulations and best wishes for many years of happiness to Kyle Sevier and Alexia Labelle as they wed in an intimate ceremony on Sunday, April 19th. In attendance were proud parents Shawn Sevier, Margaret Taylor-Sevier, and John Emard, the bride's sister, Khalissi, and great-grandmother, Giselle Brisson. The newlyweds are living in Little Britain.

The Epsom Girls enjoyed their Time together at the Mandarin this past Friday, but we missed Dorothy, who is spending some time in Oshawa hospital following a bad fall, Pat, who had recent surgery but is feeling much improved, Darlene with a cold she didn’t want to share, and Helen, busy caring for her Mother.

I wish everyone the gift of better health.

The 4H dairy club held their first meeting at the Wilson farm, where Jeff gave them a demonstration on making cheese, and the garden club journeyed to Century Garden to learn all the details of planting and caring for new life plants. Each member got a plant to take home. Thanks to the community members who share their knowledge with the 4Hers.

Take time to remember loved ones by placing flowers in the Hillman and Kendall Cemeteries on Decoration Day, June 14th. The decoration service at Utica United Church is at 2 p.m. For more information, email uticacemeteryboard@gmail.com or leave a message at 905-985-3661.

This year, both Epsom and Utica United Church will celebrate the many years of worship within their walls and in missions around the world. The hope is that you will come and worship here, too, during this special 150- and 155-year anniversary. Church at Epsom United is at 10:30 a.m., with Sunday fellowship following. Welcome all.
