I'd like to share a thought about the passing of Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
Malcolm was an actor who grew up on the set of The Cosby Show as Theo, the son of Clifford and Clair Huxtable and brother to four sisters. He not only brought much joy to audiences, as he negotiated life as a youth, but he delivered many contemplative performances, in his growth to a manhood on the show, learning about, facing, and overcoming the challenges of growing up well. He continued after the closing of that show, as an actor, musician, poet and inspiration to so many. He also co-starred on the show Malcolm & Eddie and was featured in many movies, such as Fool's Gold, The Tuskegee Airmen and Drop Zone.
Malcolm committed himself to lifting the spirits of anyone he interacted with, as well as his fans and followers on his podcast and posts, leaving regular reminders to live well and remember love in life. He deliberately chose to invest in helping others, encouraging everyone to look to see the best in things. His example led many to understand, we all must seize the day to help life and community.
While enjoying time with friends and family in Costa Rica, Malcolm drowned in a swimming accident when he was overcome by a strong undercurrent. When they finally where able to reach him and liberate his body from the waters he was gone. He was 54 years of age. No suspicious conditions surrounded his passing, it has been concluded it was just one of those tragic accidents which happen in life sometimes.
A warrior for Love has passed but if we will learn to carry a good torch forward ourselves, his legacy will thrive in that example. God Bless his wife, daughter and many loved ones as they move through this moment. I ask you God to guide and protect them in their life choices and inner lives as they continue.
Qué triste noticia… Malcolm-Jamal Warner dejó una huella profunda no solo como actor, sino como ser humano que inspiró con su arte Agario y su forma de vivir. Su legado de amor y esperanza seguirá vivo.
