DURHAM: Region of Durham residents who are currently 60 years of age, or who will be 60 years of age this year, are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Durham.
The Region of Durham Health Department announced the vaccine eligibility expansion on Thursday, April 8th.
“Appointments are available at any community clinic in Ajax, Clarington, Pickering, Whitby and in North Durham in Brock, Scugog and Uxbridge by visiting www.durham.ca/vaccineappointment. Residents who need assistance to book an appointment can call 1-888-444-5113. Appointments are also available at the Oshawa site located at Durham College/Ontario Tech University Campus Ice Centre by visiting covidvaccine.lh.ca or calling 905-721-4828. Residents are asked to book only one appointment per person,” read a press release from the Durham Health Department.
The health department also states they will continue to provide vaccines to people who are at a high risk, like those with health conditions and residents in congregate living situations.
