Conlin Road and Thornton Road temporarily opening for the winter season

DURHAM: The Regional Municipality of Durham, in partnership with the City of Oshawa, is advising residents of the temporary restoration and opening of Conlin Road including the intersection of Thornton Road North and Conlin Road West.

The road reopened as of December 22nd at Conlin Road/Conlin Road West, from Garrard Road to Stevenson Road North, and the intersection of Thornton Road North and Conlin Road West in the Town of Whitby and City of Oshawa.

The purpose of the reopening is to reinstate traffic during the winter weather and seasonal construction shutdown months. The roadway is planned to be closed again in 2023 to complete the construction and final restoration work.

The roadways are being opened with temporary restoration measures. The permanent roundabout and road reconstruction will be completed in 2023, and more details will be provided when the roadway is scheduled to close.
