Cases slowing in North Durham, Kawartha Lakes

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: With the vaccine roll-out moving forward, COVID-19 case numbers in North Durham remain in the single digits.

As of press time, according to the Durham Regional Health Department, Scugog has three active cases, all in home isolation. Scugog has seen 182 resolved cases and 16 deaths to date from the virus.

Uxbridge currently has no active cases of the virus in the community. Uxbridge has had 24 deaths and 228 resolved cases. Brock Township has two active cases, both in home isolation, and 58 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health unit is reporting Kawartha Lakes has 10 unresolved cases, 506 resolved cases and has had 55 deaths.
