KAWARTHA LAKES: Brock Built-In Specialists has been offering customers exceptional technological service since 1975.
The business offers residential and commercial options for security systems and monitoring services, window coverings, including custom drapery and automated blinds, audio/video options, full home automation systems and central and portable vacuum sales and service.
“We try to offer exceptional customer service. Being a small business, [clients] get a one-on-one feel. They’re not treated like a number here. Our customers are very important to us, and we try to make each and every one of them feel that way,” owner Lisa Dobson said.
Ms. Dobson and her brother took over the business in 2018. “I’ve been at Brock Built-In my whole life. It’s a family business,” she explained. “It’s been very rewarding being such a successful small business, especially during times like what we’ve gone through these past few years.”
Ms. Dobson explained her favourite part of running this business is working with their clients. “We have some amazing clients, and we have lots of really cool jobs that we work on.”
The business first started out of the family’s home in Cannington. Then the store at 25 Kent Street West in Lindsay was opened. Another store in Oshawa at 133 Taunton Road West was opened shortly afterwards.
Brock Built-In is offering National Home Show pricing in store. “With central vacuums, typically there are promotions during the National Home Show for people as an incentive to buy at the show,” Ms. Dobson explained. “We do have reduced pricing on the central vacuum systems and special offers during the week of the National Home Show that we’re offering in our stores.”
