Myrta and Seraina Riederer have returned to Switzerland after staying with Janet Van Camp. While here in Blackstock, they took in some sights, visited with local families, and even squeezed in a quick trip to Manitoba.

The Blackstock Lions Club is offering a Remembrance Day Service at the Blackstock Recreation Centre beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a walk to the Cenotaph. Lunch will be served afterwards, and all are welcome to attend.

Theatre on the Ridge is presenting a collection of readings, letters, and stories of the Great War on Sunday, November 8th at the Blackstock United Cultural Centre (formerly Blackstock Nestleton United Church). We Remember will start at 2 p.m. and is recommended for ages 12 and up. Tickets are available through their website at www.theatreontheridge.ca.
