Blackstock Fair coming back this month

SCUGOG: The Blackstock Fair returns to the fairgrounds, on Saturday, August 26th, for its 156th edition.

The local fair will begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be a kid’s world area, including; face painting, hair colour spray, a colouring table, a toddler play area, a corn play table and a hay obstacle course. Air Bounce Inflatables will also be returning to the fair. For $10, parents can acquire a pass, to allow their kids to play all day on the inflatables.

There will also be lawn tractor pulls, livestock shows, horse shows, a community market with craft and food vendors, live music and homecraft competitions.

For a second straight year, admission to the fair is free until 4:30 p.m. Then, at this time, gates will open for the Demolition Derby, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets to watch the derby are $15 for adults, $5 for children aged 6 to 11 and children five years of age and under get in free.

The Blackstock Fairgrounds are located at 3440 Church Street, in Blackstock.
