Adult Day Programs offer support for those living with dementia and other cognitive impairments


DURHAM: Adults who require support, including adults living with cognitive impairments, such as dementia, can participate in the Adult Day Programs for supervised therapeutic, social and recreational programming. The Adult Day Programs offer socialization, well-being, and quality of life experiences, while providing caregivers and family members with a break for some personal time.

Adult Day Programs include: exercise and wellness programs, arts and crafts, gardening, visiting with pets, music and more. Participants receive a hot lunch and snacks, and assistance with personal care.

Adult Day Programs are offered in Beaverton, Oshawa and Port Perry. To apply for the Adult Day Programs, contact Home and Community Care Support Services, at 905-430-3308 or call toll-free, at 1-800-263-3877.
