100 Men of Scugog give back in October

SHAWN LACKIE The Standard
SCUGOG: The 100 Men of Scugog finished the 2026 meeting schedule in fine fashion, on Wednesday night. The group met at the Port Perry Legion, on October 21st, for the fourth and final time, this year, and closed out the year on a roll. With almost 20 new members joining the group, the membership number now stands at 91, an all-time high. There is still lots of room to grow.
The Legion, with a huge help from Doug Babcock, has been an amazing partner in facilitating these meetings and the group is more than grateful for their ongoing help. Presentations were made by: Feed The Need in Durham, Kids Safety Village of Durham Region and Windreach Farm. It was a tough decision, as all three are more than worthy candidates, but in the end, Windreach was the group chosen to receive the award of $9,100.
The group is growing but could still use more members. This is an incredible assembly of people, who donate their time and, more importantly, their dollars to charity organizations which serve the fine people of Scugog.
2026 saw the 11th anniversary of the group and, to date, 100 Men of Scugog has raised almost two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, to donate to worthy local charities; an impressive number, indeed.
Tyler Renaud and Nick Semeniuk are to be commended for leading the charge with this great group.
