SCUGOG: The Scugog Environmental & Climate Change Advisory Committee (SECCAC) is encouraging residents to grab their cameras and celebrate the natural beauty of their surroundings, through the second annual Scugog Nature Photo Contest.

Open to residents of all ages and skill levels, the contest highlights the plants, animals, and scenic landscapes which make Scugog such a remarkable place to call home. Twelve winning photos will be featured in the 2026 Scugog Nature Calendar, with one standout image earning the coveted cover spot.

“We love seeing how people connect with the environment and capture the spirit of our township,” said the committee.

Participants can submit their photos using the Township’s online form, where they will be asked to provide some details about their images, upload attachments, and include their contact information. Submissions will be accepted until October 31st.

All entrants are reminded, contest rules must be followed. A full list of rules and guidelines are available on the online entry form. By submitting photos, participants acknowledge they agree to the contest terms.

For more information or to submit your entry, visit the Township of Scugog’s website and share your vision of the natural wonders which make Scugog shine in every season.
