SCUGOG: The Scugog Shores Museum is pleased to offer two virtual historical presentations in partnership with Lianne Harris. Lianne has been a history, culture and social studies resource specialist, with the Toronto District School Board for almost 20 years and has been the guest instructor and workshop leader for teachers across many boards in Southern Ontario. She is also the author of several books. Pre-registration is required for both presentations at www.scugog.ca/registration. The cost is $10 per person, with all funds benefitting the Scugog Shores Museum. A zoom link will be sent to all registered participants one day before the scheduled presentation. She will explore the fascinating lives and contributions of three Canadian women who were courageous, creative, compassionate, and just plain daring! From the forests of Quebec to the farthest reaches of the Arctic, these women have a story to tell that has changed us. As explorers, humanitarians, and sod-busting farmers, we unearth our hidden heritage and celebrate a piece of our remarkable past.
