Victor Doyle on the Oak Ridges Moraine

JAY THIBERT, North Durham Nature

North Durham Nature will be presenting a Webinar on the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan and the Greenbelt, on June 22nd, at 7 p.m. The event will feature Victor Doyle.

Ontario’s Greenbelt, including the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan, plays an integral role in conserving Durham Region’s rich natural heritage and biodiversity. Victor Doyle will provide historical and factual insights into the creation of these plans, as they apply to the regional landscape, while identifying ongoing challenges and opportunities.

From 1988 to 2017, Victor was at the epicentre of designing and implementing provincial plans in the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Best known as the “architect” of the Greenbelt, he was also instrumental in developing the Oak Ridge Moraine Conservation Plan, Growth Plan and Lake Simcoe Protection Plan.
