Upcoming events at the Sunderland Library

DARRYL KNIGHT The Standard

BROCK: Summer is in full swing, and the Sunderland branch of the Brock Township Library is excited to announce a series of engaging events for children and tweens this summer.

Join Ojibway facilitator Jake Charles from the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation for an enriching experience. Participants will learn about traditional teachings. This workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30th, starting at 1 p.m. and is open to kids aged 6 and up.

On Tuesday, July 23rd, the Sunderland library will hold a Pool Noodle Fun event for kids in Kindergarten to Grade 6, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to create rocket flingers, make art, and play air hockey, all using pool noodles!

Every Thursday throughout the summer, the Sunderland branch hosts Tween Takeover, a drop-in program specifically for students in Grades 4-7. From 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., tweens can enjoy a variety of activities, including crafts, videos, board games, and STEM experiments. Each week promises something new and exciting!

These events offer fantastic opportunities for children and tweens to learn, create, and have fun this summer at the Sunderland branch of the Brock Township Library. Don't miss out on these exciting programs!
