SCUGOG: This September, the Township of Scugog will hold its annual Fore Charity Golf Tournament, which started in 2001.

Money earned during the event will help Scugog youth initiatives. These funds provide opportunities for local children, including camp access, modified programming at youth organizations, and an annual bursary program at Port Perry High School.

The 2025 Fore Charity Golf Tournament will have a tropical theme. Attendees are encouraged to dress in tropical attire, and the best-dressed team will win a prize.

"We are looking forward to hosting the Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament again this year," Scugog Mayor Wilma Wotten said, "I invite you to join us for a day of golf and giving back to our community. Your participation makes a difference; let's tee off for a great cause!"

Sunnybrae Golf Club is hosting the tournament this September. Eighteen holes of Golf, a Power Cart, On-Course Contests and Prizes, a Barbecue Lunch Before Golf, and a Silent Auction are activities included in the event. New for this year is a raffle and 50/50 draw.

Participation costs $165 per person. A foursome [four-player golf] costs $650. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the shotgun start will be at noon.

Sunnybrae Golf Club is located at 1430 King Street in Port Perry. The Fore Charity Golf Tournament will be held on September 11th. For further information, contact Jenn Churchill at 905-985-7346 ext.126 or email jchurchill@scugog.ca.
