SCUGOG: Durham Regional Police arrested and charged a 29-year-old Toronto man in Port Perry, on Saturday, September 30th, for assault and for operating a boat while impaired.

According to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), “at approximately 11:40 a.m., members of North Division responded to an unknown trouble call, in the area of Regional Road 21 and Highway 12 in Port Perry.”

The male was arrested, without incident, and his boat was towed back to the marina,” a DRPS press release added.

The police have not released the name of the suspect, who was later “released on an undertaking.”

The two charges the suspect faces are assault, and failure or refusal to comply with a breath demand.
