TLDSB launches their newly redesigned website

KAWARTHA LAKES: Recent visitors to the Trillium Lakelands District School Board’s (TLDSB) website might have noticed some changes made recently.

In the previous school year, families and community members were asked to provide feedback on the board’s website as well as school websites. According to a TLDSB press release, the board heard from about 2,000 respondents.

“Taking that feedback, the communication services and technology services teams have created a more accessible, engaging and easy to navigate board website, which was launched to the public today,” Communications Services Manager Carolynne Bull told trustees, at a meeting on Tuesday, April 26th.

Ms. Bull added the board is open to feedback on their new site, and stressed the site is “primarily for the public user.”

In a statement, Superintendent Paul Goldring said many respondents “commented on the navigation being one of the most important elements of the redesign.”

The website features a large photo slideshow on the front page with tabs on top of it which take you to COVID-19 information, the school year calendar, the school registration section, bus transportation info and a tab which directs you to their school website links. Ms. Bull teased for the next school year, the board will be launching “new elementary and secondary school websites.”
