Red Plaid Productions is bringing Canada's Celtic Rock Warriors Mudmen back to The Town Hall 1872 in Port Perry, Ontario, on Friday, January 2nd, 2026. Mudmen are looking forward to their annual stop at the Grand Old Theatre. The Mudmen are no strangers to the area, playing shows with Johnny Reid at the GM Centre, with Deane Brody at the Havelock Country Jamboree, performing at the Uxbridge Highland Games, and with numerous sold-out shows in Peterborough, Oshawa, and, of course, at the Port Perry Town Hall Theatre. The Mudmen have guested and opened for The Guess Who, ZZ Top, Loverboy, George Canyon, Gord Banford, Glass Tiger, 54-40, Honeysuite, Natalie MacMaster, and Sarah MacLaughlin, to name a few.

The Mudmen career highlights include meeting and performing for the Queen, 12 Canada's Walk of Fame ceremonies, performing at the Edmonton Oilers 84 Stanley Cup reunion Gala, seven Grey Cups, three Briers, three Memorial Cups, nine International Plowing matches, The Flames/Oilers NHL home opening game ceremony, Bob & Doug Mackenzie TWO FOUR Anniversary on the CBC and much more.

The Mudmen have had a lot of commercial success over the years, mixing Celtic, Country & Rock together to create their Mudmen sound. Mudmen's music has been featured on Hockey Night in Canada, six Don Cherry Rock'em Sock'em hockey videos, HBO's Shameless, NBC's The Black Donnellys, WWE Wrestling, AE Sports games, Much Music/MTV, reaching Number 19 on the top 20 countdown.

“We always enjoy performing in Port Perry,” said Robby Campbell co co-founding member. “It's a great way to start the year off. The smaller towns and communities like Port Perry have kept [the] Mudmen in business for many a year. When we were dropped from the record label with no radio or TV support, the small towns and farming communities supported us, and we Mudmen, will never forgive that.”

In 2026, The Mudmen will start their 28th year together, having played over 3,000 shows to date in eight different countries, building a legion of fans from young to old. The Mudmen have played in some of the grandest halls in North America, including festivals, clubs, and Legion Halls such as Massey Hall, Victoria Hall, Centennial Hall, and the Brockville Arts Centre.

“It's all about connecting with your audience,” explained Robby Campbell. “We have an original song we wrote called Old Plaid Shirt, which goes over well, and fans show up wearing plaid shirts. It's great to see a sea of plaid shirt fans supporting us, with the audience singing along to well-known Mudmen songs. We also sell Mudmen plaid shirts at our merch booth, along with colouring books, trivia books, t-shirts, vinyl records, and CDs. If you buy it, we will sell it.

It has been said that the Mudmen are the last of the stubborn survivors, their the band that just keeps going. It has also been said that describing The Mudmen in one word would be fun. Johnny Reid said, "Mudmen are Canada's best Kept secret,” Don Cherry said, "Mudmen are good Canadian boys,” Walter Ostanek said, "Mudmen, I am proud of them," and Ron MacLean said, "Mudmen we love'em" .

Mudmen will be playing music from their 11 albums, with a few new songs thrown in, which will most likely be on the next album. Tickets are $35 for adults, $32 for seniors and students. Tickets are available at the Port Perry box office. This is an all-ages NON-LLBO Mudmen Inc. Event. For more information on the Mudmen, visit www.mudmen.ca. For tickets, visit www.townhalltheatre.ca
