DURHAM/KAWARTHA: As daily COVID-19 case numbers start to spike in Durham Region as a whole, North Durham continues to have a small number of active cases. As of press time, the Durham Region Health Department is reporting Uxbridge has the highest number of active cases of the North Durham communities in isolation, with three. There is also one person listed in hospital due to the virus. Uxbridge has had 118 total cases of the virus, with 93 resolved cases and 21 deaths. The Township of Brock has seen 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with one person in isolation and 17 resolved cases. Meanwhile, the Township of Scugog remains COVID-19 free, with all 26 confirmed cases having been listed as resolved. The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit has reported 185 confirmed cases in Kawartha Lakes, with 165 resolved cases, 32 deaths and one case listed as not resolved.
