BROCK: A family-friendly evening of entertainment and community spirit, is set to take place in Sunderland, this week, as residents are invited to a free Community Movie Night, at the Sunderland Town Hall Auditorium.

The event, scheduled for Friday, June 19th, will feature a screening of the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie and is open to residents of all ages. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at 7 p.m.

Organizers say, the evening is designed to provide an opportunity for families, friends and neighbours to come together, enjoy a movie and strengthen community connections, in a welcoming environment.

Chairs will be provided in the auditorium, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early, to secure a good seat. Guests are also welcome to bring their favourite snacks, to enjoy during the film.

While admission is completely free, organizers are encouraging attendees to consider making a donation to the Brock Community Food Bank. Contributions will help support local families and individuals facing food insecurity, throughout the community.

Brock Township Mayor, Mike Jubb said, events such as the movie night play an important role in bringing residents together, while also supporting worthwhile local causes.

“Community events like this create opportunities for neighbours to connect, families to spend quality time together and residents to enjoy all Brock Township has to offer,” said Mayor Jubb. “The fact this evening is free and also supports the Brock Community Food Bank makes it even more meaningful. I encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the movie and, if they are able, make a donation to help support local families in need.”

The movie night continues a growing number of community-focused events being held throughout Brock Township, offering residents affordable and accessible opportunities to gather and participate in local activities.

Organizers say, everyone is welcome, whether they are longtime residents or newcomers, looking to meet people and become more involved in the community.

With a popular family movie on the schedule, free admission and an opportunity to support a local charity, the event is expected to provide an enjoyable evening for movie lovers while helping make a difference close to home.
