SCUGOG: The Port Perry Tennis Club held the 2026 Championships last weekend, with 30 members participating in the annual event. The matches started Friday evening and wrapped up with the Men’s Doubles final match, on Sunday afternoon.

The Mixed Doubles round robin was played Saturday morning, with the team of Laureen Brown & Calvin Dunk advancing to the final, against the team of Chris-Mart Peypers and Vikas Kumar. The team of Laureen Brown & Calvin Dunk won the 2026 Mixed Doubles Championship.

The Ladies Doubles was played Saturday afternoon, with the team of Cydele Fadeeva and Melanie Pyke advancing to the final, against Laureen Brown and Cathy Kaus. The team of Laureen Brown and Cathy Kaus won the 2026 Ladies Doubles Championship

The Men’s Singles round robin was played Friday evening, with Matt Goad, Bernard Fitxpatrick, Vikas Kumar and Mark Orchard advancing to the semifinals, on Saturday afternoon. Matt Goad defeated Vikas Kumar, in the final, to win the 2026 Men’s Singles Championship.

The Men’s Doubles round robin was played, on Sunday morning, with the team of Mark Orchard and Vikas Kumar advancing to the final, against the team of Matt Goad and Tony Doyle. After some exciting rallies, the team of Matt Goad and Tony Doyle won the 2026 Men’s Doubles Championship.
