SCUGOG: The community is invited to attend the fourth annual Port Perry Waterfront Ribfest in Palmer Park this weekend.
This year’s edition of the event will run from Friday, July 26th until Sunday, July 28th. The Friday and Saturday of the event will run from noon until 10 p.m. and the Sunday will run from noon until 7 p.m.
The ribfest is a rain or shine event. Entrance into the ribfest is free, but they will collect donations in the park. This annual event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Port Perry.
“The proceeds of this year’s event will help the Rotary Club to contribute to many local and international projects,” read a post on the Port Perry Ribfest website.
There will be four ribbers this year, and other food vendors, a kids zone and live entertainment each day of the event. The falcons will also be back to keep the seagulls away.
After a few years where the event experienced rain at least one day per year, organizers are hoping for “a rain free three days” this year.
