Port Perry Fair is wired

COLLEEN GREEN The Standard

SCUGOG: This year's Port Perry Fair will be on Labour Day weekend from Saturday, September 2nd to Monday, September 4th.

For those looking to enter into the numerous contests and competitions at this year's Port Perry Fair the process is a little different this year. This year the Port Perry Fair has chosen to forego their usual printed fair book format, for an interactive online version. That version went live on Monday, July 17th, along with a totally revamped website.

To enter a contest or competition go to the fair website, click on the 'contests and competitions' tab at the top of the web page. You will see a drop down menu that lists all the various classes you can enter as well as the entry form itself. Once you have selected what class and sections you want to enter, print off the entry form and fill it in. You can email your entry to secretaryppfair@powergate.ca or you can mail it via Canada Post to;

Port Perry Fair,

Box 401

Port Perry ON

L9L 1A4

Please note that if your entry is received by August 19th, your exhibitor pass and entry tags will be sent to you by Canada Post. If your entry is sent after August 19th you will need to call or email the fair secretary to make arrangements to pick up your pass and tags. You can reach the fair secretary at 905-985-0962.

Although the Fair's website has been renovated to accommodate the online entry format, the web address is still the same, www.portperryfair.com.

The new website lists their schedule of events, featured events, contests and competitions, history of the fair, map of the fair grounds, a map of how to get to the fair, and so much more.

See you at the fair!
