Port Perry Auto Glass Celebrates their 40th Anniversary!

DAN CEARNS The Standard

SCUGOG: Owners of Port Perry Auto Glass & Trim Ltd., Glenn and Kelly Evans, are celebrating 40 years of business in the local community.

Port Perry Auto Glass specializes in providing windshields, custom upholstery and detailing for automobiles and boats to customers across Durham Region and beyond.

The owners state they pride themselves on providing “high quality, reliable service and good products.”

In April, 1981, the business opened in the Old Mill in downtown Port Perry. They moved to their present location, at 1575 Highway 7A, in 1997. Their other businesses South Scugog Auto Sales, Port Perry Sign Shop, and Practicar Car & Truck Rental also operate out of the same address.

“Glenn and Kelly are so grateful to all their loyal customers and businesses who have trusted in them. Their success story would be incomplete without that support over the many decades. In fact, many of their customers have been with them since the beginning. They also could have never achieved these goals without their loyal and long term employees and friends Tilly Durward, Bruce Kindree, Jennifer Foley, Penny Short and Anja Knutson,” read a press release from Port Perry Auto Glass.

Glenn and Kelly were both raised in Port Perry, and have raised their family in the local community too.

Over the years, the local owners have sponsored, volunteered, and been members of the PP Curling Club, Scugog Chamber of Commerce, Port Perry Business Improvement Association (BIA), Port Perry Hospital Foundation, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of North Durham, Rotary Club, Ducks Unlimited, Hockey, Soccer, Baseball, Golf and other clubs or groups.
