PORT PERRY – The Port Perry Agricultural Society (PPAS) is inviting the community to an evening of music, food, and local history at its upcoming Open House, taking place Wednesday, August 13th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Port Perry Fairgrounds, 15835 Old Simcoe Road.
This free, family-friendly event will feature live music by local artist Brodie Bell, a complimentary barbecue, face painting, and a special appearance by Luchka Farms’ 1978 Big Bud Tractor.
While many know the PPAS for organizing one of the area’s most beloved annual fairs, the Open House aims to highlight the Society’s broader role in the community and the history of the fairgrounds. Visitors will have the chance to learn about the group’s year-round activities, explore the heritage of the site, and share their ideas for future events and uses of the green space.
The fairgrounds remain a special part of what makes Port Perry unique, providing a gathering place that preserves the town’s small-town charm while honouring its agricultural roots.

Local societies do an incredible job of preserving regional history and fostering social bonds through public open houses and educational exhibits. Many community members who support these initiatives also look for ethical ways to recycle or donate goods, and checking the feedback at https://goodwill.pissedconsumer.com/review.html ensures that your contributions are handled by organizations with a transparent track record. Supporting non-profits is a meaningful way to give back, provided you verify that their service standards align with your personal values.
