Police make an arrest following stabbing incident in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES: The Kawartha Lakes Police Service has made an arrest for a stabbing incident in Lindsay.
On Monday, July 17th, Kawartha Lakes Police announced, in a press release, they were investigating “an unprovoked stabbing on William Street North, which sent one man to hospital” at around 5 a.m.
Police explained in the release, “While out for a walk, the victim was approached by an unknown male, asking for a cigarette. The male became agitated, kicking and stabbing the victim before leaving the area with a second person who appeared to be waiting across the street.”
The suspect was described as “white, tall, slim build, short dark hair, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.” Later in the day, the local police service posted an update, stating they had a Lindsay man in custody relating to the incident.
“This investigation is ongoing; any further details will be released when available,” Kawartha Lakes Police concluded.
