ALYSON McKAY Pingles’s Farm Market

HAMPTON: After 37 years of working the land and building relationships with their amazing customers, Colleen and Walter Pingle have decided to retire and start the next chapter in their lives. They are pleased to ‘pass the cornstalk’ to another family of farmers, the Mckay Family, and to watch the farm continue onwards. Jordan, Alex, Alyson, and Kelty McKay are very excited to share their passion for farming and local food, and to expand on their existing business of Willowtree Farm (Port Perry). Willowtree Farm currently grows over 35 different types of fruits & vegetables on 600 acres of farmland. 150 acres of that are hand-picked crops. These items, along with their antibiotic & hormone free meat will be available at Pingle’s Farm Market along with locally and 100% Canadian sourced cheese, seafood & pantry items. The farm will continue to operate its pick-your-own business in the fall months and has some new and exciting things lined up for the summer! The McKay’s will keep Pingle’s farm name and will try their best to make Colleen and Walter proud, keeping old traditions alive, while putting their own touches on the business with some new ones! The family is looking forward to getting to know their new customers, to see some familiar faces, and become active members of the Township of Clarington. The market is scheduled to open in June 2020. Pingle’s Farm Market brings family friendly farm fun to the Durham Region! Located on 148 acres of land just North of Oshawa, the farm is known for its pick-your-own apple and pumpkin experiences, and its giant corn maze. In the on-site farmer’s market you’ll find 100% Canadian meat, produce, seafood & dairy, plus a ‘from-scratch’ bakery.
