One man arrested for sending threats, images to another man in Port Perry



SCUGOG: A 24 year-old Port Perry man has been arrested by Durham Regional Police for threatening another person in Port Perry.

According to police, Dalton Wilson is being charged with one count of uttering death threats, one count of using a firearm to commit an offence, one count of possession contrary to order and three counts of failing to comply with a release order because he allegedly was “sending pictures of a firearm and uttering threats to another male in Port Perry.”

“On Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, members of the North Division Criminal Investigations Branch, with the assistance of the North Division Community Response Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Queen Street and Perry Street in Port Perry. Officers sought a warrant for this address after it had been reported a male residing there had sent images of a firearm and threatening messages to the victim. As a result of the search warrant, a replica firearm and a prohibited weapon were located and seized. The accused was also located in the residence and taken into custody without incident,” the DRPS press release stated.
