North Durham’s first live Drive-In Concert
NORTH DURHAM: The Juno nominated duo, The Reklaws, will headline the first-ever live drive-in concert for North Durham, as part of the Winding Roads Live concert series, with an exclusive and intimate performance, on September 19th, in Port Perry. Special guest Kris Barclay will open the show. This past year, The Reklaws released their first full-length album, Freshman Year, which contained their third Gold Single, I Do Too. Nominated for Group of the Year, at the 2020 Junos, this is the first time a country act has received such an honour in over 20 years. Other hit songs include, Hometown Kids, Fells Like That, Summer of You, Long Live the Night, and Where I’m From! “We are really excited to host North Durham’s first live drive-in concert for our community,” said Margaret Ayres, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham. “We would like to thank all of our sponsors and partners who have made this opportunity possible,” these include: Campkin’s R.V., Adamson Systems Engineering and Universal Music Canada. The funds raised during the live drive-in concert, will go directly towards the Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham mentorship programs, which now include a new virtual mentoring program. The mentoring programs provide youth in Northern Durham Region communities with a positive role model to talk to and share life experiences with. The concert will be held at the Port Perry Fairgrounds, on September 19th, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $125 per vehicle and are available at www.windingroadslive.com. Only 260 tickets will be sold.
