KAWARTHA LAKES: There is a new boss at Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH), as the Board of Governors announced last week that Kelly Isfan has been appointed as the Hospital’s new President and CEO, effective April 1st, 2020. As explained in a press release, Ms. Isfan has been a healthcare leader for more than 30 years, working in acute, community and long-term care sectors in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Ontario. Most recently, Ms. Isfan has served as President and CEO of the Norfolk General and West Haldimand General Hospital, and was previously President and CEO at Campbellford Memorial Hospital. She is thrilled to return to this area. Ms. Isfan’s leadership strengths include a strong focus on community outreach, partnership development and quality care. She is an advocate for bringing exceptional health care to rural communities. “I am looking forward to getting to know the RMH team of staff and medical staff who work together to make RMH such a well-respected community hospital,” explained Ms. Isfan. “I am also looking forward to making connections in the community both personally and professionally.” They slate interim President and CEO to stay on in her interim role until April, when she will resume her role as Chief Operating Officer. “We are excited to begin a new chapter at our Hospital, as we continue to enhance our exceptional care and services and build our local Ontario Health Team,” added Val Harris, Chair, Board of Governors. “Ms. Isfan’s leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of our community hospital.”
