UXBRIDGE: Students in the automotive program at Uxbridge Secondary School will now have access to industry-standard brake machining equipment thanks to a recent donation from Moto Solutions, a Canadian supplier of professional automotive and heavy-duty shop equipment.
The company has donated a fully serviced Ammco 4000 Brake Lathe package to the school’s technology department, giving students the opportunity to train on equipment commonly used in repair shops across the country.
In the accompanying photo, Moto Solutions President Alex Burrows stands with Shane Hollingshead, automotive technology teacher at Uxbridge Secondary School, beside the newly donated machine.
Burrows says the donation is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting technical education and investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
“We grew our business by working with shops across Canada, so helping students get real hands-on experience just made sense,” said Burrows. “If we can play even a small part in strengthening local programs and helping young people explore a career in the trades, that’s something we’re proud to do.”
Hollingshead expressed his appreciation, noting that the equipment will significantly enhance students’ hands-on training in the workshop.
Moto Solutions, headquartered in Sunderland, supplies equipment such as brake lathes, HD alignment systems, and fleet washing machines to dealerships, repair facilities, and heavy-duty operators across Canada.
