Canada Day is fast approaching; it will be here before you know it. Come out for this fun Canada Day event. This will take place at Wilson Fields in Lindsay, on 235 Colborne Street West. There will be fun activities for children such as balloon twisting, face painting, obstacle courses, petting zoo, Carriage rides, live entertainment, vendors, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks display to music at 10 p.m! Volunteers would be appreciated, you can get your volunteer hours for school, or just looking to be involved in the community. We need a volunteer group for the day of the event. Canada Day events are going on in Beaverton, on July 1st, at Foster Hewitt Arena from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Lions Club will have a pancake breakfast. Join us for pancakes, sausages, coffee, and a children's colouring station. At the Fairgrounds from 8 to 11 a.m., there will be Barrel races and horse-drawn wagon rides. At 11 a.m. is a mini parade for kids and seniors at the Lions Loop. The Canada Day Parade will take place at noon, starting at the fairgrounds and travelling to Simple Street. Live entertainment is at 7 p.m., and don't forget to come out for the beautiful fireworks show at dusk. Pack your chair, blanket, and cooler with snacks. Please note there is no barbecue.
