Friends of the Lindsay Branch will hold a book sale at the Kawartha Lakes Library in Lindsay on Tuesday, September 15th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, September 19th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Every Tuesday, come out to St Paul's Anglican Church, 383 Osborne Street, in Beaverton, for drumming for health on September 8th, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is completely free; it's a free community wellness program. All drums, world percussion instruments, and instruction are provided at no charge.
Come out to Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre for a Tabata circuit burn at 6 p.m. It is located at 176 Main Street in Beaverton. Get ready to sweat, push, and power through this high-intensity boot camp: fast-paced Tabata intervals and dynamic circuit stations for a total-body workout which builds strength, burns fat, and boosts endurance. Aspira Kawartha Lakes Retirement Living hosts its annual car show Saturday, September 12th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 60 West Street in Bobcaygeon. The rain date is Sunday, September 13th.
The show features six award classes: Hotrod (pre-1965), Muscle Car (1965 or later), pickup truck or van, People’s Choice, Resident & Staff Choice, and Corvette Class Award. The Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue will perform an extrication demonstration at 11 a.m.
