Impaired driver arrested in Beaverton

BROCK: A 30-year-old woman was arrested in Beaverton for impaired driving while having five children as passengers in her vehicle.

According to Durham Regional Police (DRPS), on Friday, July 30, at around 9:30 p.m., “a member of North Division observed a minivan driving erratically and speeding in the area of Regional Road 23 and Highway 12.”

“The officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for driving impaired with five children in the vehicle,” read a DRPS press release.

The 30 year-old woman, who the police did not identify, was from Wasaga Beach. She is facing a charge of Operation While Impaired-Exceeding the Blood Alcohol limit.
