How to pay your property taxes in 2021

COURTNEY McCLURE, for The Standard

UXBRIDGE: Did you know the next property tax payment is due on September 28th? Do you know how and where you can pay your property taxes?

According to the Township of Uxbridge, the Treasury department is open to accept property tax payments, during regular Township business hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The Township of Uxbridge sends out property tax bills by mail. They do this twice a year. You can find the instalment due date on your tax bill.

There are a few ways you can pay your property taxes. You can pay them using online banking, by mail, at a financial institution or in person at the Township office.

If you’d like to pay your property tax payment in cash, cheque, debit or using a post-dated cheque, visit the municipal office. You can find the Uxbridge municipal office at 51 Toronto Street South, in Uxbridge.

If you’d like to deliver your payment in person, but are coming after hours, there is a drop box, at the front of the municipal office, in the parking lot. Please do not deposit a cash payment inside the drop box.

You can also send in your payment by mail. If this is your desired method, the Township of Uxbridge asks you to write down this information on the cheque: 51 Toronto St. S. P.O. Box 190, Uxbridge, ON, L9P 1T1.

For more information, visit Uxbridge.ca. Click the ‘Living Here’ heading; a drop down menu will appear, and, at the very end, you will see the ‘Property Taxes’ section.
