Shirley Love – Pine Ridge Garden Club
Quite a number of members attended the July meeting and were quite impressed with the speaker on square foot gardening. A great way to garden as this way weeds have no chance to grow and you get a much larger crop of vegetables and flowers.
Our next meeting will feature David Retallick a grower of Daylilies (Hemerocallis). He has been growing and hybridizing daylilies for many years and is quite an expert on these lovely flowers.
The Flower and Vegetable show was not as large as usual because of the inclement weather. Those members that entered really exhibited some lovely specimens, floral and vegetables.
Please join us at the Nestleton Community Centre, 3271 Hwy. 7A, Nestleton at 7:30 PM all will be most welcome.
