October has many birthdays and wedding anniversaries for our family, but I’m sure that’s the case for many families in our neighbourhood. Enjoy these special occasions, as they tend to pass by quickly. Congratulations to all who have October birthdays and all anniversaries.
The Schissler family hosted a wedding here on their Medd Road property for their son Jeffrey on Saturday. Our congratulations to Jeffery and his beautiful bride and to the Schissler family
On October 5th, the nearly full moon and Saturn will appear side by side, glowing brilliantly in the evening sky, but we looked and could not find Saturn.
On October 7th, the sky will light up with the “Hunter” moon, the first full moon to follow the harvest moon. This year, it arrives as a Supermoon, appearing bigger and brighter than usual. The combination of a Hunter’s moon and a supermoon is relatively rare, making it a notable celestial event.
I would be glad to put any of your family events in the news. It’s special to show we appreciate and celebrate people in this community.
This past weekend was the perfect time to celebrate the Pine Grove church and community. The new siding shone brightly through the autumn leaves, and Rev. Bill Fritz's message and involvement with the Friend community were joyful and meaningful.
What a joy to hear the harmonies of the Reflection Trio, the Watchmen Quartet, and Master’s Four, as they shared their amazing voices for our enjoyment on Saturday evening at the Baptist church in Uxbridge. Don’t miss them if they come to your community.
Thanksgiving is this weekend, and each of us has so much to be thankful for. As we step outside, the beauty of the earth around us here in our communities is spectacular. Our schools, hospitals, and churches provide us with care and knowledge. Let’s show our thanks to the friends and neighbours we meet right here. It all starts at home.
Come for worship at Epsom United Church, 10:30 a.m., this Sunday. Rev. Edith Ann will preside with fellowship to follow.
