The Bethesda Reach Women’s Institute is once again having its annual Fall Fashion and Dessert Show at the Senior Centre, 35 Marietta Street, Uxbridge, on Thursday, September 25th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Enjoy a preview of autumn fashions from Wood’s Clothing and Threads Boutique as well as delicious homemade desserts and snacks. The Pine Grove Church, just south of Uxbridge, on the 7th Concession, Autumn's church service is on October 5th, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Bill Fritz will bring the message. Do come. Everyone welcome.

The MacSweans of Utica had a fantastic day on Saturday, as the family celebrated the birthdays of Nicole Bradley, Madyson, Kerrie, Travis, and Nick. Happy birthday wishes to all from the community.

A beautiful wedding was celebrated at the Kerry home in Utica when Ben Kerry, the youngest son of Brian and Pat Kerry, took Erin Kirk as his bride. From all of us in the neighbourhood, many blessings are extended for a long and blissful marriage.

On Medd Road, our two new little babies were winners at the Uxbridge Fall Fair Baby contest. Congratulations to Tommy and Rowan and to their parents, Jake and Darcy and Jack and Kaitlyn.

The Uxbridge 4H Dairy club, along with the neighbouring 4H clubs, showcased their calves at the Lindsay Fairgrounds on Saturday and will be back for the BIG dairy show on Wednesday in Lindsay.

Neighbours and friends enjoyed the beef BBQ at Mount Zion Church on Saturday evening. The weather was perfect for such an event.

We were honoured to have Rev. Edith Ann’s cousin, Helen from Ireland, with her at church on Sunday before travelling to Ottawa to visit relatives and sightsee around the capital. Come for worship at Epsom United this Sunday, at 10:30 a.m., with fellowship to follow.
