Our community was saddened by the sudden passing of Brenda Grummet (Payne), 73, with aggressive lung cancer. Brenda and her parents lived on the 6th concession for many years. Brenda attended Epsom Public School and Port Perry High School. Our sincere sympathy to Brenda's husband Roy, her extended family, and Darlene Christie, who is a very close friend to Brenda and the Payne family.

Our community also extends its sympathy to the family of Jason Bertrand, who passed away on July 1st, to his parents, Hank and Lynne, sister Colette, and extended family. The Bertrand family farmed for several years, here on Medd Road. Jason was just 55 when he left this earth, way too soon. Our prayers for both families whose children grew up amongst us.

This coming Saturday, Dr. Patricia Asling will celebrate 85 years amongst us here in Epsom, Sandford, Jamaica, and Belize. Her birthday celebration will take place at Uxbridge Senior Centre from 3 to 5 p.m., on Saturday, July 26th. Please join Pat, family, and friends to celebrate.

We had a fun time celebrating Dorothy Munro's 99th birthday on Sunday following the Church service. Not often do we get to enjoy someone so special to all of us at the age of 99. We are looking forward to next year's celebration!

Remember church at Glen Major each Sunday during July and August, starting at 7 p.m. This coming Sunday, the Reflections will take the service in song and message. We meet back at Epsom church on Sunday, August 24th, at 10:30 a.m.
