From last week's news to this week. The summer heat has really settled in over the last few days, with temperatures reaching 32-34 degrees. Our lawn quickly became dry, despite the brief splashes of rain we received during the week.

I want to send congratulations to Kaitlin and Jack on Medd Road as they are proud new parents to a baby son and brother for Brody. I wish you years of fun and good times together.

While watching the Canada Day celebrations from Ottawa, last Tuesday, I was excited to see the front musicians for Amanda Marshall were the same guitarist who played for Leah here at the Uxbridge Music Hall. Congratulations to Leah and Tim on the recent birth of their first child, a son. We wish you happy times and many new lullabies to create.

The Epsom girls gathered at the home of Pat Bailey, in Uxbridge, on Saturday afternoon to help celebrate Pat's 80th birthday. Wow! Where did those years go? We enjoyed a special time together, reminiscing about the fun times we had attending Epsom School, Sunday School, and church together. Good times to remember and times never to forget.

It's time to wish all the July birthday friends and celebrants the very best of everything life offers, including school graduations. May the journey through the coming year be one of excitement and reward.

The little church at the Glen, 7th of Uxbridge, is holding worship services during the months of July and August, at 7 p.m. All are welcome. There will be no church service at Epsom United Church this Sunday.
