Beautiful weather ushered in Autumn this past Monday and brought a heavenly week of sunshine and autumn warmth. So perfect for working in the garden or just relaxing in the sun. The near-zero temperatures on several mornings were cause for concern for the tender plants.

For once, those attending the International Plowing match held in the Walkerton area didn’t have to trudge through a sea of mud.

The brilliance of the September full moon (corn moon) early Saturday morning made way for a perfect day for the wedding of Brooklyn Kerry and Frances Seguin on the Kerry farm. Guests sitting on large burlap-covered square straw bales congratulated the happy couple as they strolled down the rose-peddled centre aisle on their way to becoming a happily married couple. Congratulations with love for a lifetime of joy together to the “we’re just friends” happily married couple from your community.

The Autumn harvest church service at Pine Grove Church is this Sunday, October 4th, at 3 p.m. Rev. Sandra Fallow will bring the message, and Heather Card will bring special flute music. A welcome to everyone to share in this service.

This Sunday, October 4th, is World Wide Communion Sunday, and we will serve communion here at Epsom United Church at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to participate and share in this sacrament.
