Here comes Autumn with all its glorious colours, changing weather temperatures and the harvesting of all those fields of corn and soybeans we’ve kept an eye on all summer. The cooler mornings spur us on to keep walking and enjoy this time of year more.
The Bethesda Reach Women's Institute are once again planning a delectable dessert and fashion show on Thursday, September 24th at 7 p.m., at the Senior Centre on Marietta Street, in Uxbridge. Fashions are provided by Woods Clothing and Treads Boutique, both here in Uxbridge. All profits go toward scholarship for students at Port Perry and Uxbridge High School’s. Admission is $25. The Pine Grove Church is holding their Fall Harvest Service on Sunday, October 4th, at 3:00 p.m. Rev Sandra Farrow, minister of Goodwood and Claremont United Church will be the guest speaker and Heather Card, will provide special music. Come and enjoy a special service at this little country church just off the Goodwood Road, on the 7th concession of Uxbridge.
