The Bethesda-Reach Women’s Institute are inviting you to an evening with author Barbara Dickson with her book entitled Bomb Girls: Trading Aprons for Ammo, which explores women’s roles in World War 2. It takes place on Thursday, May 28th, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at the Uxbridge Legion, 1 Franklin Street, Uxbridge.
The little Pine Grove Church on the 7th concession of Uxbridge will host its Spring Church Service on Sunday, May 31st, at 3 p.m. Come and share this special service.
The Breadalbane Cemetery Board invite you to their annual decoration service on Sunday, June 7th, at 2:30 p.m. This little Utica Cemetery has a long history which can tell much about the people who once resided in the community. The service will be led by Rob Kennedy, and Beth Willis will be at the piano.
Darlene Christie was telling me about the lovely visit she had with a former 7th concession neighbour, Carol Jordon, and her husband, Doug Walker, as they enjoyed time together over tea at Willowtree farm.
Remember the decoration service at the Hillman and Kendall cemeteries on Sunday, June 14th, at 2 p.m. at the Utica United Church. Refer to last week's news for information from the Cemetery board. There will be a church service this coming Sunday at Epsom United Church at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Edith Ann presiding, followed by fellowship.
