EPSOM & UTICA by Faye Ashton

Well, I’m dreaming of a White Christmas revealed itself in spades this Christmas. I truly hope your Christmas plans didn’t get derailed and everyone had an awesome Christmas. These two weekends, Christmas and New Year, could not have been farther apart as the weather went. By New Year, all our snow and snow banks melted away in one week. Wishing everyone good health and happiness for 2023.

For all celebrating January birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations, we hope the memories of each will be treasured forever.

Church at Epsom United Church this Sunday, January 8th, at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate Epiphany, the arrival of the Magi and the light of Jesus’s birth. Worship was conducted by Rev. Edith Anne, followed by fellowship.

Our sincere Sympathy to Ron and Patricia Ashton (Sunny Side Farm), Ashburn, on the passing of Ron’s Father, Doug. Their business, selling eggs, brought them to our community often. Doug’s wife Florence was news correspondence for Ashburn for many years before her passing. Doug will be truly missed.

Our sympathy also to Ralph and Diane Nottingham in the passing of Ralph’s brother Paul.

We are sending our “Get Well” wishes to Len Sommerville, who is spending some time in Markham Stouffville Hospital. Get well soon, Len; you’re missed.

Keep safe, everyone, as covid is far from over yet. Please send news items to:
