We are experiencing an old-fashioned winter with temperatures reaching -28/29degrees, and with this snowfall today, even though the temp is a bit milder, all the school buses across this region were called off for the first day of in school learning since a week before Christmas. Stay safe, everyone in this weather and pandemic.

News from the Bethesda-Reach Womens’ Institute, “… On Tuesday, January 25th, at 7 p.m., there will be a Zoom meeting with Sabrina Sawyer re Living Indigenous: A Women’s Perspective. Sabrina is passionate about creating culturally safe spaces through an equity and social justice-minded lens.

Supporting women in leadership and supporting education workers to help create an inclusive classroom environment with a culturally responsive pedagogical approach. All are invited to this free Zoom Program: To register, go to fwio.on.ca website-select the bottom right-hand box, upcoming events. A calendar will pop up; click on January 25th, and you should get meeting information with an option to register near the bottom of the page.
