NORTH DURHAM: Dave Ellis will showcase the wildlife of Kawartha Lakes, through his photography, at the September meeting of North Durham Nature. Since 2016, Dave has been spending time exploring and photographing nature, in the Kawartha Lakes. His patience and photographic skills have yielded a diverse and captivating collection of wildlife photographs. At this presentation, Dave will share the natural history of his subjects, the photographic challenges of capturing these images, and will emphasize the responsibilities all nature photographers must exercise.
Dave Ellis lives in Omemee, Ontario, where he spends many days each year immersed in the natural spaces of the Kawartha Lakes. His photos have also been featured in Outdoor Canada Magazine, Canadian Geographic Magazine, The Toronto Star, and PTBO News Canada, and will be featured in an upcoming John McQuarrie coffee table book. Each year, Dave and his wife, Astrid, publish a calendar, featuring the wildlife of Kawartha Lakes.
All are welcome to this presentation, on September 23rd, in the Scugog Memorial Public Library, at 7 p.m. Visit www.northdurhamnature.com for information about our outings and other talks.
