Daily local COVID-19 cases lowering

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: The number of daily reported COVID-19 cases is decreasing in North Durham and Kawartha Lakes communities.

As of press time, according to the Durham Regional Health Department, Scugog has six active cases, with five people listed in home isolation and one person in a hospital. Scugog has had 14 COVID-19 related deaths, including 12 deaths in Port Perry Place Long Term Care Home. The township has had 166 resolved cases.

Uxbridge has six active cases, with all of them listed in home isolation. Uxbridge has had 24 COVID-19 related deaths to date and 209 resolved cases.

Brock Township has two active cases, both in isolation, and 51 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health unit is reporting Kawartha Lakes has 60 unresolved cases, 398 resolved cases and 46 deaths.
